High Quality Spiral Wound Gaskets is made of high Carbon Graphite. The minimum thickness is 0.05 mm-5 mm and the carbon content is 99%, sulfur content is less than 1200 PPM. It has excellent characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and good elasticity. High Quality Spiral Wound Gaskets can provide high compressive strength, blow-out resistance, excellent handling properties and improved tightness.
- Pure exfoliated graphite flake material excels in extreme conditions, withstanding heat, pressure, and aggressive chemicals
- Proven fire-safe
- Seals easily under moderate bolt load, offers superior torque retention
- Retains dimensional stability in high temperatures; seals tightly even during pressure fluctuations
Application: High Quality Spiral Wound Gaskets are particularly suitable for sealing flat surfaces of heat exchanges, gas pipes, cast iron flanges, cylinder heads of engines as well as for boilers and other vessels.
By the sealing efficiently, provided by exerting strong pressure on circular rimes of the flanges, metal jacketed shim can stand up to 30% deviation from the initial thickness, which is very useful in case of irregular or faulty flange rims. The chemical compatibility of the metal and the medium being sealed should be considered.
